R Plans is hiring a Junior Designer to practice under our Owner + Senior Designer.  The Junior designer will design renovations on Chief Architect, curate finish selection packages for current clientele, and eventually design Full 3D Custom House Plans. This includes working with the Senior Designer, clients, builders, and vendors to implement high end design from conception to completion. 

Design Responsibilities:

  • Study under our Senior Designer to learn Chief Architect and our process.

  • Manage new leads to determine clients needs and represent R Plans in a professional fashion. This includes vetting clients to see if R Plans is the right firm for their needs and offering a clear representation of the R Plans pricing, timeline, and services.

  • On-board new clients including Initial Consultation Forms, creating client files, and logging new client info.

  • Assist in interpreting and formulating custom projects during all phases of design including Initial Consultations, Floor Plan Reveals, 3D Reveals, Construction Documentation, FF&E, and Construction.

  • Assist the Senior Designer in client meetings including New Construction, Renovation, and FFE clients. 

  • Create and maintain documents for all projects including Chief Architect plans, meeting notes, brainstorming material, and quotes.

  • Review Fixture, Finish, & Appliance Quotes/Lists from vendors.

  • Maintain the company calendar through Outlook and facilitate email and phone communication with clients.

  • Manage Invoicing and basic book keeping.

  • Manage office supplies including everyday materials, on site materials, and prints.

  • Keep a log of all time spent per client through Harvest.

  • Send Invoices and project updates each Friday to current clients.

Marketing & Networking:

  • Assist the Senior Designer at the ETBA Annual Home Show including preparing marketing materials, booth design, and networking.

  • Attend ETBA Parade of Homes for all R Plans | Residential + Interior Design entries. Be familiar with the home design, construction process, and be available for questions from all attending the Parade.

  • Create content daily and maintain brand cohesion throughout all social media platforms; Instagram, Facebook, company Website. 

  • Set aside Wednesday mornings to send Review Requests and work on Business Growth.

General:

  • Be punctual and dressed for the task at hand.

  • Demonstrate organization and management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects in multiple stages of design.

  • Must have the ability to problem solve.

  • Maintain a neat appearance along with an organized workspace.

  • Represent R Plans in a professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA Accredited Program.

  • 2 years practice with a 3D software program such as AutoCad Revit or Chief Architect

  • Must be able to communicate one on one with clients.

  • Working knowledge of the Google Platform (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
