The Showhouse

This historic home, located in the prominent Nugget Hill Historic District, was built in 1935. It has been home to the likes of Texas State Representative Earl Sharp, and over the past three years has experienced a revitalization under new ownership that you won't believe until you see it. This federal-style home is encircled by a beautifully landscaped yard and a hedge lining the fence around the property which make it feel completely secluded from the surrounding neighbors. Once you step inside, however, you will find a strong juxtaposition from what the exterior of the home seems to elude to. Painted wood floors, a fluted, jade green marble fireplace, lacquered paint on the ceiling, antiques and family heirlooms from across the Atlantic and Pacific, opulent designer finishes and a global design aesthetic barely describes just the entry and formal living room of the main home.

Come tour this historic estate featuring a 16-room, two-story home, guest suite, pool and outdoor cooking and dining courtyards. Around every corner is another thought provoking design scheme and a unique take on a young, modern family's lifestyle. Enjoy meeting the designers, browsing a local boutique pop-up, and sipping on an iced refreshment all included in the price of your ticket!

SPONSORS

We want to say a huge “THANK YOU” to the craftsmen and professionals that made this project possible. Their dedication to excellence and willingness to help achieve our vision not only for this home, but also this event, where absolutely crucial to bring our concept to reality.

We owe the most thanks to Dustin Sullivan of Insight for being willing to push the boundaries and help us put the perfect team together to accomplish this renovation. Doing a remodel of a 1930s home is no small feat, but because of Dustin we have a finished product that we, and the homeowners, will love for many years to come. We couldn’t have put this home in more capable hands!
